
A simple recipe for super delicious flapjacks, ready in no time.
You might find this delicious treat under a few different names such as oat bars, oat slices or even cereal bars.

You will need:
4 peaches (stones removed), chopped into small cubes
8-10 apricots (stones removed), chopped into small cubes
4 cups oats
150g butter/dairy-free alternative
60g light soft brown sugar
140g golden syrup
1 tsp vanilla flavouring
How to:
Preheat the oven to 180C (fan assisted)
Melt the butter in a saucepan
Add the brown sugar and golden syrup and stir
Add the apricots and peaches, stir and leave to simmer for 2-3 minutes
Add the vanilla flavouring and stir some more
Add the oats, mix everything well and remove the pan from the heat
Put the mixture in a 10'x8' oven tin lined with baking parchment
Bake for around 20 minutes or until golden brown on top
Leave the tray to cool down completely
Slice and enjoy!

Stored in an air-tight container at room temperature, these flapjacks will last for about a week.
This recipe can be made dairy-free if replacing the butter with a dairy-free spread or vegan butter.
Oats are naturally gluten-free, but cross-contamination can happen, so please check the label/packaging of your oats to be 100%.
