Fantastically delicious and super easy to make, this recipe is perfect for a summery dessert. It's Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free and Vegan friendly and it's ready in no time.
You can use whatever pears you desire, ideally, they should be super-ripe. I've used Bosc, Comice and Anjou Pears so far and they all turned out delicious.
You will need:
Ripe pears (6-7 small/medium or 4-5 large)
1 tablespoon of Demerara/ Brown Sugar/ Caster Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 tablespoon Dairy-Free butter/spread
How to:
Pre-heat the oven to 180C/160 fan/gas mark 4
Wash the pears then cut them in half
Remove the seeds/core using a spoon
Place the pears in your oven-proof dish of choice/tray with the cut side up
Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon on all the halves
Place a dot of dairy-free butter/spread in the middle of each pear half
Bake for 35-40 min at 180C/160 fan/gas mark 4, until the pears are soft
Enjoy them as they are or with a scoop of ice cream (preferably vanilla)
Prepping takes less than a couple of minutes and it doesn't involve any fantastic equipment which makes this a very useful recipe to have when you need a quick and delicious dessert.
Feel free to experiment with the type of pears you use, the quantity, or any toppings you might want to add, just make sure to adjust the quantity of sugar and cinnamon accordingly.
If you decide to be adventurous, please share your baking experiments in the comments below, I would love to hear all about it.
I hope life is treating you well.
Take care.
