An easy-to-drink highly fruity Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in oak casks.
A bit about
Glen Keith Distillery was founded in 1957. The whiskies it produced were used in blends such as Chivas Regal and Passport. The distillery was closed in 1999 and reopened in 2003. It is owned by the Chivas Brothers/Pernod Ricard group.
The Glen Keith Distillery Edition is a no-age-statement whisky and has 40% ABV.
Time to try it
Glen Keith Distillery Edition
Nose: Fresh apple slice, apricots, bitter almonds, lightly herbal/floral/grassy
Taste: Light on the palate with bitter almond, very slightly sweet with vanilla, toffee and pears
Finish: Medium, with a subtle sweetness, with more bitter almonds and orange peel
Pros and Cons
It is a no-age-statement whisky, which (assuming it is a young-ish malt) explains the lack of depth and complexity.
Whether it has any complex layers or not, this one is (for me, at least) a nicely balanced smooth and mellow whisky. It can be enjoyed neat, with an ice cube or however you might desire, any time of the year.
You can find the Glen Keith Distillery Edition priced between £25-30 on most UK websites.

In conclusion
If you're looking for a very light, easy-to-sip whisky with no trace of peatiness and a lot of fruitiness in both taste and smell, then the GlenKeith Distillery Edition is exactly what you need.
I like the look/design of the bottle and box and considering it's an easy-drinking whisky, I think this one might make a nice present for someone just starting now on their whisky-discovery journey.
