Updated: Apr 30

These Honey Orange Chocolate Brownies are super easy to make and highly addictive. They have the right amount of fudginess and so much flavour. This is a gluten-free and dairy-free recipe, but feel free to use plain flour and butter instead if your diet allows.

Honey Orange Chocolate Brownies Recipe

ingredients for honey orange chocolate brownies

You will need:

  • 100g sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • zest from 1 orange

  • juice from 1/2 orange

  • 200g set honey

  • 90g cocoa powder

  • 210 dairy-free spread

  • 80g gluten-free flour

How to:

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180C/160 fan/gas mark 4

  2. Line a brownie tin/ baking tin (10'x10') with baking parchment

  3. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients until you obtain a smooth batter

  4. Pour the batter into the tin

  6. Remove the brownie tin from the oven and leave the brownie to cool down completely

  7. Slice the brownie and enjoy!

  • Make sure the brownie is completely cooled down before you slice it, otherwise, it will crumble massively.

  • If you use a fan-assisted oven, it might take closer to 20 minutes to bake, so please keep an eye on it after the 20 minutes in the oven.

  • Other recipes in general require the cake to be fully baked in the middle, but it's not the case for brownies if you want them to be fudgy. If you insert a wooden skewer/toothpick in the middle of the cake, a bit of batter will still cling to it and that's ok. Some of the moisture will evaporate when the brownie cools down.

  • You can keep the brownies in an air-tight container and they will last for 3-4 days.
