Hops & Cans is a Craft Beer Subscription Box.
Each monthly box contains 8 craft beers and two gourmet snacks.
With the first box, you also get a Hops & Cans branded glass (love that)
Hops & Cans offer a few types of boxes to choose from: a Juicy IPA & Pale Ale Box, a Tangy Sour Box or a Brewmaster's Mixed Box.
The boxes contain one-off limited editions as well as seasonal brews.
Previously there was an extra option - Midnight Dark Box, I'm not sure if this will come back at some point, but it is sold out at the moment.
A Hops & Cans Box is £30 and delivery is free.
You can change the type of box you want to receive (before payment is due) and you can pause or cancel the subscription anytime straight from your account, no need to call or send emails.
Hops & Cans also have a loyalty/rewards system in place. Every box you order gives you 100 points and you can earn more points by leaving reviews or sharing on Facebook. When you gather 1000 points you can exchange them for a free box.
I opted for a Brewmaster's Mixed Box containing sours, IPAs, pale ales and stouts.
Delivery was great, and everything arrived as expected.
I really liked the selection and quality of the beers. The 'Live for Today, Because Tomorrow’s Looking Crap' Sour was one of my favourites, which was quite unexpected considering my usual taste in beers. This is exactly why I like these types of subscription boxes - you never know what you'll find, and there are always a few that will pleasantly surprise you.
The only downside I can think of was that the Chilli Garlic Pitta Chips were way more fiery than I anticipated, but nothing another delicious beer couldn't fix.
Overall, I think that if you're a fan of quality Sour beers, IPA's and Pale Ales then you'll love this box.
As a small disclaimer, Hops & Cans has been kind enough to send me a free box to review. The review is mine and has not been paid for. I don't receive any incentives if you purchase anything from them.
As always, please drink responsibly.
