How to get there:
Penderyn Llandudno Distillery is a 7-8 minute walk from Llandudno train station.
Address: Old Board School, Lloyd St, Llandudno LL30 2YG
Before the tour began, I spent a few minutes reading about the Faraday Still and the history of the building housing the distillery - the Old Board School.
The Faraday Still, also used in Penderyn's Brecon Beacons Distillery, is a single copper pot still designed by Dr David Faraday (descendant of Michael Faraday).
The tour covers a bit about the distillery's establishment as well as whisky production and ends with a little tasting session, where you get to sample three of their whiskies.
Once the tour begins, photography/filming is not allowed, so if you want to see exactly what Penderyn's Llandudno Lloyd Street Distillery looks like, you will have to pay them a visit.
The tour itself was great and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
Overall, my first tour of a Welsh Distillery went well - I had a great time and discovered a few more Welsh Whiskies to review.
Whether you're passionate or just curious about whisky, I would recommend you give their tour a try.
