Time for another drink!
A lightly dry but refreshing sake

A bit about
Sawanotsuru, The Refined Japanese Sake Brewed and bottled by Sawanotsuru CO., LTD in Nada, Kobe, Japan. The brewery was founded in 1717.
Sawanotsuru Deluxe has 14.5 % ABV and it is clear/colorless.

Time to try it
Sawanotsuru has a pleasant rice aroma, it's quite dry on the palate and not overly sweet but refreshing nonetheless. The aftertaste is quite pleasant.
I've tried the Sawanotsuru chilled, at room temperature as well as warmed up.
Chilled, it reminds me somewhat of sherry, like a combination of Tio Peppe and Manzanilla, slightly dry but with a lot of fresh, crisp flavours.
At room temperature, or slightly warmed up, it feels less like a sherry and somewhat with a more pleasant aroma.
In terms of pairing it with food, it's pretty versatile and goes great with any savoury dish.

Overall, I think the Sawanotsuru Deluxe is quite an enjoyable sake, especially when it's warmed up (or at least at room temperature).
In the UK you can find a 720 ml bottle of Sawanotsuru for around £20 online or around £15 at your local asian supermarket.

As always, please drink responsibly.
